Gallery: A Portrait of My People

 

Currently on view in The Gallery are MATI’s classical fine art, pencil and charcoal portraits of Jewish sages from this and the previous generation. This gallery is part of a series intended for publication in a book devoted to honoring the great leaders of our nation who valiantly shepherded the Jews in its miraculous revival after the devastation of the Second World War.

All of MATI’s original fine art portraits are done on 23” x 27” Strathmore, archival-quality,  four-ply, 100% cotton rag, Bristol board. MATI draws with Wolff and Staedtler Mars graphite pencils and Willow Charcoal.
